Eleven years ago, I became a trainer because I couldn’t find anyone that wasn’t either really young or ex-military. I wanted to find someone that could relate to my lifestyle of being a dad, a business man, someone who travelled and someone who failed to managed their health properly. There didn’t seem to be anyone out there that I could relate to that well so I decided to become a trainer myself and subsequently changed career, became a self-employed personal trainer and eleven years later, in my mid-50s, I’m still doing it.
Along this journey I have earned two black belts, lost a load of weight, become stronger and more flexible than I have been since my teenage years and adopted a plant-based diet. I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned, through training others, in my blog and occasional podcast. This journey of learning and self-experimentation is for those that want to feel more alive, more well, stronger and who want to live longer lives with more vitality.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my children, taking photographs and sound recording.
