Qigong

Qigong (pronounced chee gung) is a Chinese movement based practice that combines fluid, slow, circular movements with static postures and visualisations. Qigong forms and practices help us move towards creating greater balance and harmony in our body and mind, and help generate an overall sense of health, vitality and wellbeing.

Qigong classes (without the yoga element) are for those that want to access this amazing energy practice in a simple and friendly way. It has underpinned my martial arts practice for the past 20 years, but in these classes I will be leaving the martial elements behind and just focusing on the wonderful experience that comes from managing the energy that we all have inside.

classes

Classes cost £12 per session or £60 for a block of 6 sessions (valid 10 weeks). I can fit up to 12 in the 7pm Thursday class. Session payments can be used for either yoga or qigong classes (subject to space) but reserving a place in advance is required.

Qigong is suitable for those with reduced mobility and can be done in a chair but otherwise requires no equipment or mat – please let me know of any physical needs you may have when booking.
